Developed by a studio called Strangely Named Studio, Bears Can’t Drift emulates classic kart racers like Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing; you can play on your own or with friends in split-screen multiplayer across a variety of action-packed tracks, with a host of crazy items and weapons at your disposal.

In a unique twist, there’s no tutorial. Instead, you’re placed in a hub world that you can explore and practice at your leisure. Every track is available from the get-go, but some are more difficult than others. One course may be a pleasant cruise through the woods in autumn; another may be a treacherous drive across icy precipices.

Aside from the usual modes, there are time trials to compete against, and a battle mode where you and friends must fight over picnic baskets using weapons like salmon and bees to steal other players’ food.

As of writing, the game has yet to appear on the PSN store, but it will be available at some point today. It’s also available on Steam for you PC players out there.
