Even in the constraints of a demo, players get the full game experience, including online co-op. Online settings can be changed in the menu to allow for public, private, friends only, or lan options. After receiving the first mission within the first minute of play, co-op will be unlocked.

This demo has been a long time coming. The full version has been available since January, but this demo opens up more options for gamers who want to see if the experience is worth the $49.99 price tag.

So far, the full price sticker has been worth it to over 5 million people. Dying Light has sold that many copies since its January 2015 release. If you find yourself enjoying online play with the few people playing the demo, chances are you’ll have loads more fun with the hordes of gamers playing the full version.
